Port Electrics – Domestic Electrician
Extending a electrical circuit to add an extra socket or two aswell as a light fitting is a popular choice of improvement when renovating.
Building regulations now require that new additions of sockets must be no lower than 450mm above the floor, and light switches no higher than 1200mm from the floor.
This is something that must be taken into consideration when you are looking to renovate and find your old wiring is not up to modern day demands of consumption.
At Port Electrics, we can advise you on alterations and whether they will meet new and existing regulations, if needed we register the work for compliance with Part P Building Regulations.
